My name is Daniel and I am a computer scientist who works as an assistant professor at Loyola University Chicago, USA.

I investigate the application of techniques from the fields of Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Media Forensics, and Biometrics to make our society better.

Drs. João Phillipe Cardenuto, Anderson Rocha, and I have partnered with Kaggle and IEEE to organize the 1st Competition on Scientific Image Forgery Detection. We look forward to seeing participants submit their solutions and help us foster scientific integrity.
